SUCCESS STORIES
Our 2017 students have gone on to study a range of degree subjects including: law, nursing, optometry, psychology, radiography, construction, criminology, accounting and finance to name a few. Destinations include Russell group universities such as Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester as well as other highly regarded institutions such as: Aston University, Birmingham City University, Keele, London Metropolitan, Wolverhampton University and Coventry University.
Shane Kennedy joined the sixth from from Lordswood Boys’ School. He completed a BTEC extended diploma in music technology gaining three distinctions. Shane’s next destination was an apprenticeship with a gunsmith, Westley Ricards Limited, who have been in Birmingham since 1812. Shane’s meticulous approach to his BTEC studies will serve him well in this apprenticeship.
Isobel Hinton was a Lordswood Girls’ School student who continued her studies into the sixth form. She achieved A grades in chemistry, mathematics and music. Isobel is now studying music at the University of Birmingham where no doubt she will continue to be successful.
