A Level Media Studies

Exam Board

Students will explore a wide range of media texts including Beyonce’s Formation video, TV drama The Bridge and the Black Panther marketing campaign.  Students will engage with the key critical theories and apply them to the media texts studied.  Students will also learn how to create their own media products using up-to-date digital equipment.  By the end of the course students will have developed a wide range of practical skills as well as a keen critical perspective on the media industry and its products.
